Pareidolia

Pareidolia is the tendency to see shapes or make patterns from random objects. For me, this manifests in seeing faces in everyday objects or patterns. Using this idea, I created this motion piece inspired by cloudwatching to create what it feels like to be able to see faces in randomness. The shapes float around and come together very briefly to create faces with different emotions, however if you aren’t looking you will miss it.
